Mike Wing
CEO, Chairman and Co-Founder
Mike is a lawyer and a former Senior Partner at the law firm O’Connor and Hannan and Of Counsel for Haynes and Boone. Wing has successfully served as President and CEO of 11 companies spanning the globe, notably the Swedish holding company ICH and the United States Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. There, Wing developed the highly regarded “Fifth Grade Program” to engage young learners in an exciting and contextualized educational experience focused on math, science, and technology.
From 1992-1993, he served President George H. W. Bush, and President William Jefferson Clinton as a
White House Fellow. He is a teacher and distinguished baseball coach at the international, collegiate, and high school levels, winning various championships throughout his coaching career, including coaching with USA Baseball.
Wing has been named Teacher of the Year, Professor of the Year, Superlative Teacher, and Coach of the Year on several occasions.
Michael Wing was raised in Tucson, Arizona. His father, James Wing, was the coach of the University of Arizona Wildcats baseball team, leading them to three National Championships and earning induction into both the University of Arizona Sports Hall of Fame and the College Baseball Hall of Fame. Michael Wing later coached USA Baseball.
As the Executive Director of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, Wing developed and implemented a groundbreaking initiative called the “Fifth Grade Program,” a week-long educational initiative aimed at providing an exciting and contextualized learning experience in math, science, and technology. He also oversaw the design and construction of a full-scale vertical Saturn V rocket replica, the only one of its kind in the world, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, celebrate human achievement, and inspire the nation’s youth.
Wing has earned numerous doctoral and master’s degrees spanning a wide variety of subjects, including law, global affairs, criminal justice, public policy, education, restorative justice, STEM, theology, and business. His educational accomplishments simultaneously reflect and fuel his dedication to eradicating systemic inequality and advocating for marginalized communities, especially in the criminal justice system.
Wing is a pastor with a Doctorate in Ministry and master’s degrees in theology, apologetics, ministry, and divinity. He was particularly influenced by the biblical commentary of theologian Matthew Henry, prompting him to translate those teachings into modern English and organize them by topic. Wing and his wife, Victoria, published this manuscript as the book The Wisdom and Insight of Matthew Henry, a study guide intended to help readers apply their Christian faith. It has been featured on several Christian radio shows, including Jenna Ellis – January 04 2024 and Eric Metaxas Show – January 24 2024.
His book Talking With Your Customers: What They Will Tell You About Your Business became a bestseller. He and his wife, Victoria Junkins, also co-authored The Incarceration Explosion: We Must Do Better
Wing has three children and two stepchildren with his wife, Victoria.
